The Roland Cooper State Park is a state park and recreation area in Camden, Alabama. It sits on the shores of the 22,000 acre lake, William ?Bill? Dannelly Reservoir aka Miller?s Ferry.
Named after and in honor of William Ronald Cooper, a Camden local and a former Alabama state senator, the Roland Cooper State Park is actually best known for being a fishing destination. With the Dannelly Reservoir, the park is one of the most renowned angling destinations in the entire region, especially since they also host regional bass tournaments regularly. Some of the most sought after prizes are the largemouth bass and crappie.
Aside from fishing, visitors of the Roland Cooper State Park can also enjoy camping, picnicking, and hiking at the site.
