The Spring Villa is a historic house in Opelika, Alabama. It was built in 1850 as a plantation house by William Penn Yonge. It takes its name from the 30-acre spring fed lake that is located next to the house.
The Spring Villa is best noted for its architecture. The house was fashioned after the designs did by Andrew Jackson Downing, which gave Yonge some ideas that he incorporated in the construction of his home with the help of some publications. This Gothic Revival house is also quite a rare sight in the state, as there are only twenty remaining of its sort in Alabama.
The Spring Villa is now a part of the Spring Villa Park after being acquired by the city of Opelika in 1927.
