The Alaska State Museum has a lot of permanent exhibits that tell of the stories of the natives of Alaska, their natural history, the participation of the Russian America and of course, the children?s room. There are also exhibits held temporarily all throughout each year. On their very first floor, you would see the ethnographic galleries on display where you can learn a lot about the Eskimos and the people living on the northwest coast.
There is also the Aleut gallery that is composed of a unique collection of baskets that are woven from strips of the beach grass. Another would be the Athabaskan exhibit that features an essential collection of masks, snowshoes and some arrows. Everything iconic told of Alaska can be seen in this museum.
