If you want a relatively challenging activity while in Anchorage, Alaska, you should definitely check out the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. The site is actually a stretch along the Anchorage coastline that measures up to 11 miles or 17.6 km from the downtown area to Kincaid Park. The trail also provides a great view of the area.

There are tons of activities that can be enjoyed on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail as well. Although, the trail is paved, its terrain varies, and some areas can actually be ideal for running, biking, hiking and rollerblading. It?s practically easy to navigate, though.

To gain access to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, you can get to it on the extreme northeast end of West 2nd Ave or at the Kincaid Chalet. There are also a series of other access points all throughout its entire stretch.
