Tombstone, AZ was originally a mining town. It was the location of the famous historical gun battle involving the Earps, Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan along with Doc Holiday against the "cowboy" gang. This controversal battle only lasted a few seconds but lives on in countless movies and books on the subject. The actual battle took place in an empty lot ajacent to the OK corral. This little town has much of it's original buildings of the Wyatt Earp era either in tact or restored and Allan Street appears almost exactly as it was then. Shoot out re-inactments are regular and an old west feeling is everywhere. Visit Tombstone and step back in time to the 1880's.
