Every year, around 400,000 people come to Little Rock, Arkansas every second week of October to have lots of food and fun at the Arkansas State Fair. Like many state fairs in the United States, this Arkansas fair is deeply rooted to its agricultural roots. So expect to enjoy 10 days of festivities in the company of familiar livestock friends such as pigs, cattle and horses.
The whole city of Little Rock becomes one big horse event during the State Fair week. People both young and old ride horses or compete in events such as rodeo, calf scrambles, horse races, and wild cow milking. People running with their livestock are a common sight during this week.
Other attractions during the fair include food-tasting events, cook-offs, carnival rides, livestock beauty pageants, food booths, and arts and music shows.
