Famous for its nickname, ?Little Golden Gate Bridge? measuring 554 feet in length and width of 11 feet, the Beaver Bridge is known to be the only suspension bridge of the same make left in the state of Arkansas. You will come across this bridge when you go off Highway 187, northwest of Eureka Springs and over the White River.
The historic bridge was constructed in 1949. It may not be as tall and as wide as the real Golden Gate, but the smaller replica holds a certain charm with its railings and flooring made of wood, making it a pretty adventurous one-way bridge to pass through. It is indeed, one of the hidden treasures of the roads in the South.
A little trivia - the bridge was captured in film in the movie of Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst, ?Elizabethtown? in 2005.
