The Cardiff State Beach is a state park and protected beach in Cardiff by the Sea, California. It features a gently sloping sandy beach with warm waters.
Located just a few minutes out of San Diego, the Cardiff State Beach offers a lot of great things to see and do. Being a beach, it is most popular for swimming and beachcombing, but thanks to its excellent waves (which some argue to be the best in the region), surfing is also a very popular activity around the park. Fishing is also allowed in the site and if you?re planning to go camping, a campground is located right next to it.
The Cardiff State Beach is open from 6 am to 11 pm. Parking is available, but due to the site?s popularity, it could be a pain to find a spot if you arrive late.
