The Washoe Meadows State Park is a state park and recreation area in Lake Tahoe, California. It features 620 acres of area and is located right next to Lake Valley State Recreation Area.
Named after the Native American tribe that once inhabited the area, the Washoe Meadows State Park is primarily composed of meadows and woodlands in a valley located at the base of the escarpment leading up to the Echo Summit.
Being a small park, the Washoe Meadows State Park is best valued for its nature trails. Hikers could enjoy miles of trails at the site, most of which are not way-marked, so make sure to pay attention and stay oriented. This is pretty easy to do, though, as the site is a meadow, so you can see where you?re going and where you?re from.
