The Hart State Park is a state park and recreation area in Hartwell, Georgia. It is also known as the Hart State Outdoor Recreation Area.
Covering 147 acres of space, the Hart State Park is popular for water recreation. Its position on the shores of the 55,590 acre Lake Hartwell makes it a prime spot for all kinds of water sports. It is also famous for boating, swimming (during the summer months only), and other water-based activities. Picnicking is also a common thing, as well as hiking and bicycling. Folks can also fish for bass, black crappie, bream, rainbow trout, striper, and wall-eyed pike at the reservoir.
The Hart State Park is also home to Cricket Theater where music programs are commonly held.
