The Big Shoals State Park is a recreational area and state park in White Springs, Florida. It is best known as one of the best places in the state to go to if you?re looking for whitewater rapids and some adventure.

Featuring almost four thousand acres of land, the Big Shoals State Park is also a land preserve. It has around 33 miles of wooded trails for various daytime recreational use and the largest whitewater rapids in all of Florida. When the Suwannee River gets up to 50 to 61 feet above mean sea level, it earns a Class III white eater classification, making it the perfect spot for thrill seeking canoe and kayak enthusiasts.

Other activities available on the site include biking, birding, fishing, hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing and horseback riding.
