The Burroughs Home and Gardens is a historic house in Fort Myers, Florida. It is best known for its beauty that makes it a popular venue for weddings and special celebrations.
The Burroughs Home & Gardens traces its history back to 1901 when it was built for John T. Murphy, a cattleman from Montana who fell in love with Fort Myers during one of his business trips here. The house was designed by George Barber of Knoxville, Tennessee and was made in the Georgian Colonial Revival architecture.
Today, the Burroughs Home & Gardens feature 2.45 acres worth of land area, beautifully situated overlooking the Caloosahatchee River. It offers weekly living history tours every Friday and is open for reservations and events rentals.
