The Coastal Heritage Museum is a local history museum in Crystal River, Florida. It is dedicated in chronicling and preserving the history of Crystal River and the Citrus County.
Housed in the 1939 City Hall, the Coastal Heritage Museum is truly brimming with history. The site is actually one of the Workers Progress Administration structures that were recently restored and reused in order to preserve and maintain the structure. It was abandoned around the 1970s after the city government moved to a new building. This has always been the home of the museum, ever since its opening in 1986.
The Coastal Heritage Museum features a good amount of interesting features including a 1929 diorama of downtown Citrus Avenue, one of the original jail cells of the jail house, and a fish house fa?ade.
