The Coral Castle Museum is a stone sculpture garden in Homestead, Florida. It is most commonly noted with the mystery that surrounds its creation.
The Coral Castle Museum features work by the Latvian American eccentric Edward Leedskalnin. He worked on the site for 28 years. It was originally located in Florida City, but was moved later on to its current location around 1936. He worked on the site until his death in 1951.
Some say that the story behind the Coral Castle Museum is that Leedskalnin was dumped by his fianc?e, Agnes Scuffs, a day before the wedding. This caused his move the US and started on working on the site later on. How he actually created the castle is a mystery, especially since he never let anyone watch him work.
