The Deer Lake State Park is a 1900-acre state park in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It features the Deer Lake, a coastal dune lake located within its boundaries. This is worth noting because areas like this are very rare in the globe, and in the US, it only occurs along the Gulf Coast.
Aside from its rare coastal dune lake, the Deer Lake State Park is also known for its flora and fauna. As the setting is quite rare, it is also just common for it to be home to several rare plants like pitcher plants, spoonflower, Gulf Coast lupine, and Curtiss? sand. There are also golden asters, woody goldenrod, southern magnolias, and scrub oaks available on the site.

As for the activities that you can enjoy while at the Deer Lake State Park, you can go swimming, wildlife viewing, picnicking, hiking, biking, and fishing at the site.
