The DeLand Memorial Hospital Museum traces its roots back to 1922 when the Old DeLand Memorial Hospital was completed in an effort to serve the growing needs of the area. A hospital became necessary at the time with the great increase in population that the city welcomed all thanks to the land boom era.
The DeLand Memorial Hospital features 8 distinct galleries which include the Seigworth Medical & Apothecary Exhibit, the Veterans Memorabilia, Florida Military School Gallery, Bert Fisth Room, Bill Dreggors Ice & Electricity Museum, Conrad?s Toyland, Elephant Fantasyland, and the Black Heritage Museum.
