The Ed Smith Stadium is a ballpark in Sarasota, Florida. It is a part of the Sarasota Sports Complex.

Opened in 1988, it can be said that the Ed Smith Stadium has seen quite a fair share of history and heritage with its more than two decades of service. Named after Ed Smith, the long time president of the Sarasota Sports Committee from 1966 to 1993 who pushed for the completion of the stadium, the venue has been serving both Major and Minor baseball leagues since its completion. Commonly used as a spring training home, the site has been considered as a seasonal home of the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Sarasota White Sox, Sarasota Red Sox, and the Sarasota Reds. Its first game was Chicago White Sox against Boston Red Sox in 1989.
