The Flamingo Gardens is a wildlife sanctuary and botanical garden in Davie, Florida. It is commonly described as a ?one-stop eco experience?.
The Flamingo Gardens features 60 acres of natural area filled with wildlife. They have more than 3000 species of sub and tropical plants which includes orchids, bromeliads, palms, and ferns. They also have and Arboretum that features one of the largest collections of non-indigenous Champion trees in the area, as well as 200-year-old oaks. There is also a lot of animal life around. There are flamingos, Florida Panthers, bobcats, geese, fresh water turtles, owls, eagles, ducks, alligators, otters, and swans just to name a few. Iguanas and peacocks roam around freely, but do not touch them. The historic 1933 Wray house is also on the grounds of the gardens and is open for tours as a museum.
