The Florida Railroad Museum is a railroading museum in Parrish, Florida. Railways have always been such a great part of the development in the South as it allowed an easier method of traveling and it opened towns and cities to more visitors and business opportunities. This is why commemorating this part of local history is quite important.
The Florida Railroad Museum started in 1982 with seven founding members and a total donation of $700, $100 from each founder. The site grew as time went by, and is now a very popular tourist attraction, mostly for its unique offers and features.
What makes the Florida Railroad Museum stand out is the fact that it allows you to ?Ride the Exhibits!? The museum conducts excursions all year long using the vintage trains, taking visitors around for 90-minute train rides. On special weekends, themed train rides are also available.
