Fort George Island Cultural State Park is a special state recreational facility centered around a site of over 5000 years of human occupation in the state of Florida.

As can be expected from such a site, the Fort George Island Cultural State Park the area is filled with cultural and historical landmarks from all of the stages of human occupation in the area. The park and island is named after a 1736 fortification built on the island to protect the then colony of Georgia from seaborne and southern attacks.

Today the park is a recreational area where visitors come for cycling, boating, fishing, and hiking. Center of activities is at Ribault Club, a former exclusive resort, which functions as a visitor center for the park.
