Formerly a United States Air Force bombing practice range, the Fred Gannon Rock Bayou State Park is now a popular fishing and relaxation site in the state of Florida.

Through the efforts of United States Air Force Colonel Fred Gannon, this former bomb range has become a state park which aims to preserve some of the remaining unique wildlife and vegetation that can be found on the area. An example of these is the longleaf pine tree which is considered to be old growth, some of which are now over 300 years old. The rocky bayou area of the park is a rich fishing ground often visited by local and regional anglers who wish to catch premier saltwater fish. The double lane boat ramp in the park is considered one of the best boat launching platforms in the bay and as such attract boat owners from the entire bay area.
