The Madira Bickel Mound State Archaeological Site is an important state historical site and archaeological area which features a large Native American ceremonial mound that was found in use for at least two thousand years.

The land on which the mound stands was owned by Karl and Madira Bickel and was donated to the state in 1948. The mound itself is one hundred feet by one hundred and seventy feet at the base and is at least twenty feet tall. It is made of sand, shell, and other village material. According to tests done by archaeologists, the oldest debris in the mound is at least two thousand years old and the structure was used over at least three periods of Native American cultures.
