The Orlando International Fringe Theater Festival is an annual event in Orlando, Florida. It is a 12 day arts festival that is one of the largest of such celebrations in the country.
Celebrating its 20th year in 2011, the Orlando International Fringe Theater Festival is also the oldest US Fringe Festival. It was started in 1991 by Terri Olson and was held in downtown Orlando. For the next couple of years, events were held interchangeably at the downtown area and in the Loch Haven Park. It was moved to the park entirely in 2005.
The Orlando Fringe Theater Festival is mostly a celebration of the performing arts field. It involves a lot of live performances during its 12 day run every year around the month of May.
