Ponce Inlet Lighthouse stands 175 feet and considered the second tallest lighthouse in the country. The lighthouse and museum is rich with history dating back to 1887 when it was completed. The lighthouse aided sailors at night for more than a century until the Coast Guard turned it off in 1970. After a decade, the light came back on when an association moved for its restoration.
The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse today opens its doors to visitors, inviting everyone to climbed up the 203 steps and be rewarded with a panoramic view of the inlet and the long stretch of Daytona Beach.
