Located in the historic city of Tarpon Springs, Florida, the Tarpon City Heritage Museum is a unique regional museum showing the importance of the interaction of the environment in this area of Florida and the unusual mix of cultures of the people in the area.
Exhibits in the museum feature the development of the city of Tarpon Springs from a prehistoric settlement to its activities during world war 2. A wing in the museum is dedicated to the sponge industry and how it affected the city during the peak of sponge commerce in area.
