Sitka, Alaska Herring cove trail

I hiked this trail last fall with my son. It was a moderate but short trail being less than two miles to the end. As with all trails in Sitka you can make the hike as long as you want because each trail ends at another trail. On the hike you will see the sitka rain forest in its most natural form. One of the coolest features of the trail is a rock stuck between two rocks forming a tunnel that the traill goes through. There is also an awesome waterfall on the way to the end of the trail which terminates at a large alpine lake. Very nice trail for sure.
