Allergy Sufferers in New Mexico

I have been told if you have allergies move to Arizona or New Mexico, does any one here have allergies? I would think so, I think they might be different, but I doubt New Mexico is without it's allergies.

Cottonwood, juniper and tumbleweed get to me each year. I get a shot of Kenalog every few months and take an allergy pill each day.

The Juniper is really bad and when the wind gets going in the spring, forget about it!

Allergic reactions to pollens are not as prevalent as in some states but they are defintiley here.

Are there seasons for those local pollens? I was there for two weeks around July 4th (went to BFP to see the fireworks). After a day or so, my NY allergies quieted down and I was fine.

Mainly in the spring when the wind blows. One day we will have Arizonia blowing by and the next Texas.

Cottonwood and cedars kill me. Though it seems that mine are getting worse in the fall instead of the spring anymore so who knows what the trigger is now.

It seems to me that most people who move to NM become allergic to something here after a few years, even if they aren't allergic to it in the beginning.

Personally, I grew up in NM, and am allergic to everything that grows in this state. I still love NM and don't want to leave, despite the allergies. Besides, there's nothing better than some green chile to provide relief from allergies!
