Which part of Albuquerque is the nicest side of town?

North, Northeast, Northwest, South, etc.? Also, w/in these sides of town, which neighborhoods or areas are very nice, but affordable? Thanks!

You should try to contact JeeperDon. He just moved there recently and might be able to help. He hasn't posted much lately, but maybe a PM would wake him up.

Good luck man. I would love to move to NM, but being a Canadian makes it complicated.

Sorry, been busy with the holidays, only hitting 20% of my usual forii.
I moved to the south east corner of the city. Most new homes are in the west, since there are mountains to the east, the Air Force base to the south, and the Reservation (and Sandia Casino) to the North. The prob with the west for me was 80% of the city is to the east of the Rio Grand, but there are not many river crossing roads, so the west becomes it's own 'city'. That west side was just too congested to me with limited roads to major things. The east 80% is all city street grid, so lots of road options to get anywhere from anywhere.

The far east and far north have the pricy homes, as well as some parts of the west. My realtor said to stay away from the south west quadrant as it's just not attractive and has few decent neighborhoods.

The northeast is nice, just stay away from the west side. It's like El Paso over there. I went to the planet fitness over there. Everyone acts like the want to fight. It looked like a prison weight room minus the jump suits.
