just got back from visiting little rock for the holidays and tried out doe's. best steak I've ever had, hands down. they cooked it to perfection. locals, how do you like it?

I have been to the Doe's in Bentonville and was, to be quite honest, disappointed. They were out of the cut I wanted, they cooked my steak wrong twice, and the side dishes were mediocre. That being said, I have many friends that rave about the place so I may have just had a fluke experience.

Is it open again? They had a kitchen fire that put them out of business for a while. The food there is good, not great, certainly not the best I have ever had.

LOL. Just fyi, they say on the menu that the steaks are to be shared. They are served family style.

Doe's in Little Rock is the heat. Fries+Tamales+Ribeye= Bliss. I think its really neat to see all the suits in such a hole in the wall place during lunch time.

I've never had the Tamales there, but need to try some. We had a steak there last year and it was pretty good, as stated it was huge!
