If you are interested in anything outdoors, this is a trip you have to make.

Heber Springs, AR

Plenty of fishing, hunting, boating, wheeling, golfing, and much more!


Here in Heber we have;
the Little Red River (trout fishing)
Greers Ferry Lake (bass, hybrid, brim fishing and also boating)
Several near by WMA areas (hunting)
Thousands of never-ending dirt roads (wheeling for you Jeep-bugs)
5-6 Golf couses, including the Red Apple and Tannenbaum Golf Course (both part of the Arkansas Golf Trail)

Trout fishing is phenomenal on the Red River!

I love it in that area. I spend my weekends on the lake during the summer. I like the fishing also.

I also live in Heber Springs, the fishing is awesome! But, if you are interested in some real outdoor activity than you need to check out the airsoft scene. IF you are interested let me know, I am currently authorized by the Louisiana airsoft team known as the South Eastern Joint Task force, (SEJTF) to recruit for its team in the Arkansas area. I am looking for any interested players.

Thanks for the post. I'm relatively new to Arkansas and would like to check out some of the outdoor activities. Heber Springs sounds like a good place to check out.

Heber Springs is certainly a fantastic place. I grew up in the Heber Springs area and can attest to the amount of outdoor activities that are available there. If you'd like to experience some good views, be sure to check out the JFK Scenic Dam Overlook and climb Sugarloaf Mountain. Also some nice local secrets, like Bridal Veil Falls (ask if interested in finding that.) Also, for golfers, there are a few nice courses in the immediate area!
