Not sure - just never quite picked up on the humor. I'd much rather watch Family Guy or American Dad

american dad is pretty funny, family guy is kind of funny(gets kind of old)

I think Futurama, like many less popular comedies has very smart and witty humor that the majority of the Americans don't get. If the jokes are too subtle, they go past the person's head and people don't like that.
Arrested Development, for example was such a smart, witty show, but alas it was too well written a show for the american public to handle.

On a side note, we named our cats after Futurama characters- Fry,Leela, and Nibbler.
I think Zoidberg would be a great name for a guinea pig.

It's from Matt Groening, the creator of the Simpsons, but it didn't last on Fox, so now it's on Comedy Central.
