If it was a time traveler who would she be talking to?

That's also not how you hold your phone. There are a number of explanations.

Note, she's in a highly populated area, walking around talking to herself, someone would have said something, like, "Hey, what's that?"

Why? It's 2011 and I'm still shocked by the technology. If it was 1928, I would have started screaming with excitement.
