SG1 and U are two totally different shows with different attitudes. You really have to give it a chance, but I think ultimately it will be seen as a great show, a long the lines of Firefly, just not as great.

Firefly is proof you can do everything right, and still get canceled because people don't want scifi on network prime time anymore.

I thought it was well done. The introduction of the Rush's "helpers" is interesting, I'm betting it ends up being Destiny from when he attached himself to the ship.
