Where is the best place to take a child fishing near Atlanta

By near Atlanta I'd say a 60 mile radius.

The chattahoochee river at Jones Bridge Park in Norcross is a great place. I fished there as a kid with my dad. You can catch trout mainly, just make sure you have fishing license. If your new to fishing you might want to try a lake somehwere in the area. Theres plenty and the blue gill are easy catchin with some live worms.

I'm interested in answers to this question, too. My three year old son wants to go fishing. I don't think we would go for long amount of time, so I don't want to go too far away. Are there any lakes around East Cobb that I could take him to?
