There's a little place hidden behind the new Goodwill/ Gym at the Y in Oak Hill called "Donn's" that's really good. My favorite, tho, if I have the time and patience is the Ironworks downtown.

It's gone now, but Jim Bob's Trading Post had great BBQ and the very best breakfast tacos in the world. R.I.P.
Great ambiance too.

Green Mesquite is pretty good. County Line is too pricey for me for the mediocre food they serve. It's not bad, just not worth the price.

Although not techinically in Austin, I really like Opie's out on highway 71 ~ 20 miles west of Austin. The Salt Lick out in Driftwood is also close to Austin. Both places I mentioned are BYOB so take a cooler and some craft brew!
