Home Brew Supplies

I am looking for home brew supplies and wondered if anyone knows anywhere else to go in the central Texas area for supplies. I really really like AHS and they have my business hands down, just wondering if anyone's found any other gems in the area?

I think that is the only one in the Austin area. Generally you won't find but one store per city. There are 2 in the Houston metroplex (one way north, one way south). There has been more than one before in Houston, but generally they don't do too well.

I'd check out Northern Brewer and Midwest Supplies. Both have great selections and prices. you can generally get everything you order in a week.

I second keg connection. I purchased a setup from them last year and it has been great.

I'm heading to AHS for the first time this weekend. I've been without my brewing supplies for six long months. If they have everything in store that there website does I'll be very happy.

They will (maybe with VERY few exceptions on stuff they ran temporarily out of).

I was just there this morning picking up stuff for a couple brews this weekend. They have 55# bags of 2 row on sale for $35, picked me up one

I said the same thing until I found
Farmhouse Brewing Supply

As far as hops are concerned, no other place touches those prices. makes me kick myself for buying hops @ $3 /oz at austin home brew or defalcos in houston.. Never again. I bought 4 pounds of hops, $50, shipped.

I agree, also use Farmhouse for my hops, great place

I'm also getting in on group buys for bulk grain to save about 50% on my base malt
