Beets Caf? -- A caf? as unique as Austin Beets Cafe is pretty good - raw food only. a little on the pricey side, but when you consider the prep and the limited sales I think its understandable.

I don't see how not cooking would raise your cost. I understand preparation might take longer, but then all you're really talking about is extensive prep work, knife work, etc., but for someone that's been doing it sometime, that's shouldn't be an issue.

I think there is more to it than that - I ate there once, some things looked pretty complicated. everything is raw, including substitutes - like fake raw tortilla chips for example.

I loath beets (got that from my dad) but this place still sounds worth a shot. Do they incorporate beets into a lot of their menu items? I'm sure I could find something.

I love mushrooms too. In fact I like almost anyhting food. I like vegan fare as well, I just don't eat it often.

Mmm I love those too, they have stuffed artichokes in New Orleans. Best thing ever.

I hate artichokes. They give me terrible heart burn, and the canned ones taste like metal more often than not.
