I'd be looking for an undamaged cheap stock bumper myself.
Can't see them being too hard to find.

Thats what I am planing on doing. I'm still dealing with mechanical issues but I am finally
ahead enough to start on the body. This is a long drawn out restoration.

I'd find a local welder and have him make me something cheap and strong. It wouldn't cost much money and I'm sure they would enjoy tinkering with the tools they love to use.

If only there was a local city and state forum where I might find one...

OH WAIT!

Get a nice plank & bolt it to the old bumper. Either way "with" beats none at all.

Too bad I still didn't have my old one, because I would give it to you. Instead, I gave all my stock jeep parts to another JF member who was down on his luck and needed money to continue staying at a local college.

Years ago, I was part of a Toyota 4x4 truck club, and set up my truck for serious mud running. I happen to see an old man welding some stuff in his garage one day, and paid him a visit. I also brought a 6 pack and we ended up becoming very good friends. He did some fantastic work and built me F & R bumpers for the cost of the steel, which was about $40.00.

Nice, maybe I will get lucky and meet someone like that.

I'm thinking I might chop it a little just to try and hide some of the damage.
