I made one for my old YJ. 2"X4" steel tube, welded a couple brackets on it and it was good. I also did a back bumper for an old truck like that. Cost a few bucks for the steel, wire and rattlecans paint. I put an angle on the ends and capped the ends with plate.

Thats cool, but I'm not a fan of tube bumpers.

I can't imagine owning a jeep without a winch but then I've only lived where the trees to hook onto are everywhere. I do like the winch/bumper look.

This latest jeep I bought came with a winch which had never been used by the previous owner. It was all rusted but with a little paint and some synthetic line, it now looks OK. I also believe I will never use it, but who knows?

Well that is on my list and when I can afford $500 for a winch I will get one.
But with this restoration there are many other things I have to do before I get one.

I just took my daughter out to dinner in my jeep tonight, and she advised she has never been inside it. She loved it and now wants to borrow it for awhile. Not on my life!

It's SQUARE tubing 2" X 4" not round

this is just cladding over angle iron but it looked like this one I did on my Willys.
