post 97 they look better cleaner lines, but any xj will work

Always, always, always, always pre 97 imo.

I hate the 97+ XJs.

I hate the new bumpers, I hate the new fender flares, I hate the new body molding, I hate the candy tail lights, I hate the front clip, I hate the new front turn signals, hate how they just rounded the entire thing out like every other car in the last 15 years. It lost all it's style in 97.

I'd be inclined to agree with you - I've had a few xj's in my day, and they've all been pre-97 for a reason!

Even though the older 4.2L Six cylinder YJ's have that nasty 2 barrel carb vs. the newer ones running 4.0's with fuel injection?
