My 78 chevy truck, 130 mph at 3/4 throttle, 3500 rpms. Think I could have hit at least 150 had I not run out of road.

My old 02 4.8L Silverado ran some mid 12s on ET Streets and the jug. Not fast by any means, but it certainly surprised some people on the street.

Things must be different up in PA. Back in 02-04, 12s was quick, but not fast. Had many a friends who drove deep 11 sec cars as daily drivers. Nowadays, you better come out with 10 sec cars or you aren't even worth playing with the big boys. Its nothing special when a couple of deep 9 second cars are racing on the street on saturday night.

I've long since wised up and realized that's a stupid and dangerous game. Not to mention expensive. I've gotten away from the go-fast stuff now, and more into offroad. Seems lately I've been getting the itch for something fast again. And having a buddy that owns a prominent mustang speed shop telling me he has a cheap roller with a cage, etc that will meet specs for anything well faster than I want to go doesn't help...

What were the 11 sec daily drivers? What are running 9 sec with street tires?

I'm guessing about 15 seconds 0-60 in my old, oilburning Benz.

Two of them were LS1 cars, one was a 04 Cobra.

There are a crap ton of cars running 9s on DOT tires.
