#2 let's not judge it quite yet. If jeep put it's own spin on it, I might be pretty excited. That short wheelbase, I'm sure a very low msrp, and 4 wheel drive would make it pretty formidable. It'd basically be jeep's samurai, but newer. I'd buy one in a second!

This vehicle is not a concept but is already in production as the Fiat Panda. It's a quite capable little 4x4 . . . still, I'll be sticking with my Willys CJ3b

That's pretty common outside wranglers. Xj's, wj's, etc - pretty much anyone has to do chopping to go big with articulation.
