Birmingham Zoo Question
Can you make it through the entirety of the Birmingham zoo in a day? Do I need to schedule multiple days?

You can get through it in one day. Make sure to check out the otter exhibit, they are my favorite
Here is the website so you can look up the exhibits you want to visit, admission prices, etc.

We had a membership when we still lived up there. The kids loved it, especially the splash pad.

1 day is plenty, make sure to swing by the botanical gardens next door. It is free and much less crowded than the zoo.

Yes, you can make it through in a day without any problem. I think we may go see the Christmas lights at the zoo.

Call and see if you can get feeding times for the various critters. My son got to feed a giraffe, and that was pretty neat - and yes, 1 day will be sufficient.

Is it worth the trip from Dothan, AL or should we go to Atlanta?

I have never been to the Atl Zoo but if I had to drive the same distance either way, I'd choose Atlanta. I'm from B'ham and there is nothing special about the zoo.

Oh, and last time I went to the Bham Zoo, over the Summer, it was all torn up for construction for new exhibits. Which I don't think are ready yet.
