Spruce Grove, Alberta, here, next door to Edmonton. Snow today. Looks like my motorcycle will be bedded down for the winter.

I'm from Edmonton and found my way here by way of the homebrew forums.

And every winter, I ask...why do I live here?

I have a ton of family up their. I loved visiting when I was a kid. I spent half my summer thier and the other half in Bullhead city AZ. Quite a difference. I sure miss visiting Cananda. It is a great place.

It no Montreal, but beautiful in its own way. I've was in Montreal for about 4 yrs and between the culture, history and architecture there is a lot to miss (its my favorite Grey Cup destination!).

Alberta is incredible in a different way... sweeping vistas, majestic mountains, thousands of clean, deep lakes and wildlife on your doorstep. And several large francophone communities incidentally...

Just like anywhere else, there's not place like home.
