I'm guessing that's considered part of the MacKenzie River delta right? The amount of water I'm seeing there is pretty extreme. How are the mosquitos up there when everything thaws out?
Ever since reading Farley Mowatt's tales of the Canadian north many years ago I've wanted to visit that area of our country.

And yes, the mosquitos are pretty awful when everything thaws out. I usually take the trip when it's all still frozen and bugs aren't too bad though. With the right gear, the cold is not a problem. I have a lot of pictures... I'll go through them and post more tomorrow ... been a long day at work and I need to sleep right now
