That's funny. I googled Norman Wells and was looking
at it in satellite view on google maps. I've got to check
out Aklavik next.

Bluerock is a little shallow for that, but there is a lot of place that are within a hour or so that you can ride the white water.

That tree is real cool, I just happened to spot it while I was driving, had to pull over and get a closer look.

Yes, part of the MacKenzie River delta And yes, the mosquitos are pretty awful when everything thaws out. I usually take the trip when it's all still frozen and bugs aren't too bad though. With the right gear, the cold is not a problem. I have a lot of pictures... I'll go through them and post more tomorrow ... been a long day at work and I need to sleep right now .
