I was up at Fort Simpson this summer and the bugs where so bad they could carry you away could barely see when you have a bug mask on

Yup, the bugs can be annoying

Especially when it's 95 degrees and I'm immersed up to my shoulders in my favorite swimming hole to get away from them, and still have to keep swatting walnut sized horseflies off my head and the hand holding my brew.

Here are some from my drive west of Calgary to McLean Creek, the trail was a little wet but passible, good fun. The cow and calf moose happen to show up on the side of the road on the way home.

The snow fell yesterday and is now gone in the city, but it was still there in the mountains
