Ive worked in Northern BC, and have seen it at -47 BEFORE the wind .. that was at mile 247 of the Alaskan Hwy.
I now work in Fort McMuray, Alberta, and recently saw -47, but have seen it below -55 the last 2 winters here

Right now it's -28C here, -36C with the windchill, and that's way too cold for me!
The older I get, the more I hate cold weather

When I lived in Prince Albert we saw a -46 day, thankfully there wasn't a wind! Coldest with a windchill was into the -50's.

Yesterday on the drive to work, the Jeep showed -21, but the radio said, -35 with the windchill. whew. today is only -1, so much warmer. lol

I live in Labrador City, NL. I have a copy of a letter that the school board sent out with children back in 1980.
It had to be -68 or lower before k - 6 was closed and below -83 before k-12 was closed!
These days, I think they've changed the way the calculate the temperature, it doesn't usually get below -50 too often.

i see youre all from canada but for me being a northern new yorker ive seen it -40....but really why would you subject yourself to worse?! i dont even want the 40 below

Coldest I have experienced was -54c , absolute torture to work in

When it starts to get that cold it doesn't feel like there's a difference between 40 and 45 below lol

I think I'd rather have a dry crisp minus 40 than a damp humid and windy minus 20.
