Taxed out Canadians

I am fed up getting raped by my federal and provincial governments!

On the one hand there is no money to be had in Quebec for essential services like health care, education, infrastructure, and national security. On the other hand Quebec always seems to have plenty of money for this kind of grand larceny: Quebec unites with Quebec City to build arena - thestar.com

Here is what our slimy little provincial premier had to say about placing nearly all the burden of building this arena on Quebec taxpayers.

It surprises me to hear some commentaries on the justification for the project,? Charest replied. ?We must ask the question: Is it normal that a city like Quebec City doesn?t have an arena?

I have many questions I would like to ask that turd!

What current political shenanigans and improprieties make you rant?

OK. now I have been thinking about taxes lately, (probably because its tax season). I think there should be a flat tax system in this country.
For example, let's say for the sake of argument that there was a 10% flat tax from the federal government and that there was a 7% flat tax from the Provincial government(every province would set their own). That would mean that everyone (in Alberta for example) would pay 17% total. No matter who you are or what you do. So if you only made, say, $100.00 in the year you would pay $100.00 to the federal Gov. and $70.00 to the province for a total of $170.00 dollar./ That would be it. Now if you made, say 1 million, well you can do the math. Like I said it doesn't matter who you are or what you do, everyone pays the same amount, percentage wise that is. I think that would be fair, the more you make the more you would pay. But the percent you pay would all be the same.
What do you think ????

There has been a push for a flat tax in the US for years, but it keeps getting shot down by special interest groups.

You know the sad thing about this is that if the people involved with these "Fantastic" ideas and spending sprees is that the loosers of this is the hospitals and health care systems throughout the country along with the homeless and elderly. Its sad that the people that run this country can not see this.

Don't steal, the government hates competition.

In Quebec they just tax the competition to death.

There are so many scandals about financial inproprieties by Quebec governments at all levels in the news here lately I'm surprised there hasn't been an armed revolt.
