Favorite place to go on a free weekend around Charlotteish area/

My wife and went to translyvania county the other weekend and went to see a bunch of waterfalls. We went hiking in the Uwharrie back in october, anybody got any other good weekend trips?

Yeah Uwharrie is great... Kings Mountain state park is also nice. Not quite free but I catch quite a few movies at the dollar theatre

I like to go camping at Uwharrie and take the jeeps during the summer time.

I also like to go to the Lazy 5 ranch in mooresville.

Crowders / Kings Mountain is a great quick get away. I like to go out there to hike and camp with a friend or two, or just go for the day with my ipod and enjoy a little time with my thoughts.

Andrew Jackson State park off of Hwy 521 a couple of miles from the NC/SC line on the SC side is a nice camping area
